OK, so I arrived in Whistler on Thursday evening. This place is just truely amazing. It's like something out of a movie. The streets are lit with goregous xmas lights, the atmosphere is just pumping, everyone is high of mountain skiing and boarding and the streets are covered in white, thick snow. It's just beautiful.
I kicked off my first day with a snowboard lesson which was sooooo much fun. I have a million and one bruises to prove my excellence, but the rush, the fun, the excitement makes the pain non-existant.
I had a second day of boarding today, I progressed to level three after my first day (1 to 6 - 6 being the highest - like pro stuff). Level three means you can turn haha... don't laugh, this sport has a nack to it. Anyway, we had a small class of three today! One dropped off after lunch time, cause he hurt his elbow, so then it was just me and this other dude. I can't beleive how much fun it is. I just can't wait to get out there tomorrow for my final day :( I have a battered and bruised arse, my knees are no longer skin colour, my hip is now purple and as for the rest of my body... it's aching like all shit! Oh and not to mention my head... THANK GOD FOR HELMETS!! hahaha... Don't worry Mum - it's a safe sport! :)
Well, time is running low. It's freakin expensive hear in Whistler but suppose the fun outweights the expensive right?!?!
I'll blog again for a final report when I hit Vancouver on Monday. Fingers crossed I'm not in a cast nor concused... TOUCH WOOD...
