After saying good bye to Vegas we hit to the road for a four hour drive to the Petrified Forest. An interesting place, although not much to be desired. Very dry, barren and lots of desert. Haha.. After spending a few hours there we headed north to Monument Valley. We spent the night just south of Canyonlands. Today was spending driving through Canyonlands and Arches National Park. Arches was spectacular! I’m not that great at describing it, but you’ll have to see the photos. Tonight, we’re staying just outside of Salt Lake City and will probably spend most of tomorrow seeing the place.
I’m totally loving the road trip so far. It’s reminded me how much I love to travel and see the sights and also made me realize that I’ve spent too much time in Calgary itself and not seen enough of the rest of Canada. Although it is hard when working full time and earning so little sucks, but I’ve enjoyed every minute just the same. I hate to say this (especially for the people at home in Australia)… I dunno if im ready to come home juuusssttt yet! Hehehe. But, as I always say, this could change week to week.
To keep you guys in the loop, I may be attending an interview in Vancouver for a cruise line ship at the end of September. It’s always been a goal of mine to travel around on one and work as a personal trainer and in one of those adventurous moments not long ago, I applied for a job on line and never thought any more of it. I had a phone call from them late last week saying they’d like me to attend an interview in Vancouver to work on the cruise ship line called the Royal Caribbean. It just so happens that mum and dad will be passing through Vancouver at approximately the same time to head back to Australia… weirdly convenient. So, I figure I’ve got nothing to lose by attending… I’ll keep you posted as to how it goes.
