One door closes, as another opens!

So do I call it ‘Hayley’s Canadian Adventure’ anymore?!?! Hahah… Well, exciting news… I got the job with Royal Caribbean. I’m leaving Canada! Yicks. I got the confirmation email last Wednesday saying I was successful at my interview and that I’d receive my ‘Welcome Aboard’ letter by the end of the week. That I did, and it basically said I needed a specific American Visa, medical tests plus a criminal records check done before they can assign me to a ship. Soooooo I’m heading home… Thursday in fact. I know it’s crazy. So soon, but there’s no time like the present right?! I can’t believe that I could be posted anywhere in the world. Amazing. I told my employer of the news last Wednesday but seriously didn’t think I would be heading home so soon. I’m really going to miss World Health Club, the people I work with most of all and not to forget my clients. Hopefully the transitional phase to their new personal trainers goes well. I’ve already said some good byes today and there were a few tears that’s for sure. It’s been an amazing journey and experience and I’ve met some interesting people who I know I’ll be keeping in contact with and who’ve had a major impact on my life. So, my flight is for Thursday night. I fly via San Fran and then onto Sydney and then up to Brissy. OMG – soooo excited. Just the thought of being home for a month or so to see family and friends…. I can’t wait to feel the sun on my skin again, enjoy the beach before embarking on this new journey… somewhere in the world – yicks.

Oh yeah, so I spent the weekend in NYC with little Jodi. Crazy weekend full of partying and good times. Check out my facebook for photos but yeah, we had a brilliant time. Not to forget the shopping… so awesome. It’s weird to think I’ll beat Jodi home. She flies onto San Fran tomorrow then to Vegas, LA, Tokyo and then home. So yeah, she’ll be flying into Brissy a week or so after me.

So I’m interested to see how many people actually read this blog. So send me a comment with some suggestions as to what I should title this blog. I look forward to hearing them.
