One week feels like 1 month!

Well, my first week is over. I can't believe i've been on the Majesty for a week now. I'm loving every minute of it though. I can't remember what i wrote as my brain has been so scattered of late... i feel like a gold fish ;)

So already i've had one of my friends leave who I started with on the first day. She's in youth staff and basically just didn't like it one little bit. They say ship life is only for some and I would totally agree.

I don't really have a set sleeping pattern at the moment which kinda feels weird purely because i was so by the book back home and in Canada. I would wake at the same time, work out at the same time, have the same amount of sleep every night and eat at the same time every day. On board.... aaarrrggghhh no... never! I kinda feel like i'm just sleeping when my body tells me too and it feels great! Like for example today... I was up until 3am this morning at a coridor party then had to wake at 7:40 for a 7:55am start on the rock wall and then fished at 10am. I did some paper work for an hour and then when back to bed for four hours. I was then up again for a 5pm to 7pm shift on the rock wall... oh yeah just quickly after my nap i got off the ship in Nassau for some lunch. I had dinner by 8pm, was in the gym for a work out tonight at 9pm and then got ready for staff party that i'm about to head to which starts at midnight. Crazy aye?!?! So the party that I have to attend is for cruise staff only. They basically put on beers in the theater hall and we have to wrap christmas presents for some kids for some charity. Kinda fun. Unfortunately for my I have to be up early for debark at 6:45am. I basically have to start at the gangway and say good bye to all the guests as they leave the ship. That generally finishes about 9:30am so i'm thinking i may hit up downtown miami tomorrow for some shopping or something if i'm not too tired, all this being before a 5pm rock wall start.

I'm loving being on the rockwall with the boys. We have so much fun just hanging out. We had something like 500 kids on board this past three day cruise and the wall was crazy. The lines where huge and these americans were freaking going nutts and being very demand... but you just laugh inside cause you can only take two climbers at a time. I enjoy just standing there look out at the deep blue ocean with the sun on my face and cause we generally work in the evening I get to see the sun set on the ocean... hmmmm - yeah doesn't feel like work! We generally have a couple hours break after being on the wall in the afternoon for a few hours and then hit up the 70's, 80's and pool parties which we have to dance at in the evenings. I'm having so much fun with it now... but i may not be saying that after 6months of doing the YMCA on the pool deck and stage with a 2700 guests looking at my crazy hawaian shirt or purple wig that i have to wear on 70's night!! :)

I kinda feel like i'm in a different world and to be honest I don't have time to think of home. I did have a little moment though... with christmas fast approaching. But the boys and I are buying gifts for each other and there are a couple girls here that i'll probably buy gifts for too so i'm sure christmas will be fun. THis year Christmas and New Years Day will be 'Sea Days' which means we'll be working all day... but i have no doubt that there will be crew parties at the crew bar in the evening. Issa is great and does everything he can to make sure we don't work when we have to. I was in the Cruise Director's office last night with Issa and the Cruise Director was like "Man... i saw your schedule... you guys never work... that's gunna change!" Doh! Oh well. I'll lap it up while i can. It's just because we are on a small ship and there is only three in our sport department and i'M really only an extra so they can get away with it.

Anyway, I should probably get a move on. I do apologise for the lake of emails! HOpefully you all have the time to read this blog every now and then and i'll keep you updated.

Oh yeah, still have no word as to when ill be transferred but it will happen i know that for sure. We are in a black out period at the moment wherein they don't transfer, sign on or sign off people from now up until mid January so it will be nice to spend Christmas with people i know and am growing to love :)

I sincerly hope all is well and if i don't blog before Christmas and New Years... love and warm wishes always from me in the Bahamas :)

LOVE YOU
xxx
