Writing from home… but not for long!

So, the new journey begins – AGAIN!

It was such a big relief to come home to family and friends in mid October! Man, that feels like an eternity ago. I’ve been lapping up the sun, surf and sand for nearly two months now and finally, everything is falling into place. I flew to Sydney to obtain my USA visa, passed all my medical and criminal checks and that was all sent off to the recruitment agency not long after I arrived home.

In the meantime, I got a couple weeks work with my old law firm which helped pay for partying with friends on weekends… My friends… oh so lovely to see them all again. It’s been so refreshing to just fall back into place and be in my comfort zone again. I saw little Lloyd turn 21, a few boozy nights out on the coast with my girls, and not to mention the good old Sunday sessions at the Normanby. Needless to say, not much has changed back here in Brissy, but like I said.. it’s so refreshing just seeing all my friends and family who I love so much!

I received notice from Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines last Friday that I’ve been assigned to my ship working as ‘Sport Staff’ on Majesty of the Seas! It’s currently cruising around the Bahamas… hmmm – I can’t complain! It’s one of the smaller ships of the bunch, but they tell me I will more than likely be transferred to another ship before long, which makes me think I’m relieving someone who’s going on holidays over xmas. I’m just glad to finally have a date and get my foot in the door!

I’m bummed not to be home for my third xmas in a row, and having so much planned for the summer with my girls made me very sad. But, no doubt there will be many summers with them ahead!

I know I’ll have limited access to internet and email, so I’ll do my best to keep blogging as much as possible (sorry if there is minimal individual email). Keep those emails coming though, as I love to hear of everything happening back home!
