July – jeepers! I can’t believe that half the year is over already! Where the hell has it gone?
Good news on the collar bone… It’s on the mend. I just got back from a week in New Zealand with Amanda and Tamara. Unfortunately the girls, nor I, could keep me away from the Snowboard. I rented skies for the first day on the slopes and was bored out of my brain and seeing all the people riding down the mountain killed me! I ended convincing myself on the second day at Coronet Peak that it would be ok for me to go down the beginners slope with Amanda while she learnt how to ride. HA… that made it worse! By day three, I had decided that I could go on the bigger stuff at a slow pace… that I did. By day four… well… I decided to get a lesson… level four mind you (Level one being beginner and level six being expert). So yeah, the chick was awesome. I learnt a ton of stuff and she polished my riding immensely. Needless to say, I wanna go to Japan at Christmas. I forgot how much I love it! :)
So other than the snowboarding… Amanda, Tam and I had a wicked time in New Zealand. We mastered the snow chains and enjoyed the Queenstown nightlife and met a bunch of really cool people. There was no crazy bungy jumping or jet boating this time round, but we hired a car and enjoyed the scenery and relaxed with lots of wine and yummy foods. The week flew by, and we certainly didn’t want it to come to an end!
Anyway, so here I am, back in good old Vegas again! I’m enjoying the time catching up with family and friends and surprisingly enough… I’ve decided to stay put for a while. Yep, I just accepted a job as a personal trainer with Goodlife City 103 in town. I’m excited. Seems like a really cool club and hopefully I’ll be moving out of home into the city and buying a car before long. It feels bizarre to staying… but I know it’s the right decisions and it excites me to be starting the career I love here at home. I still plan to do a bit more traveling though… but this time with a pack on my back and a job in Brissy to come home to. Hooray!
So… yep… things are working out just fine right now. I turn a big fat 26 next week. Yicks… don’t remind me!
Hope all is well to those I love overseas. Courtenay, I can’t wait to see you early next year. For those on ships… keep it real and have a blast. Canadians... I haven't forgotten you... I promise to visit.... eventually!
Much love
x
