Got any bad eating habits you still need to work on? Here are the six top ones and my powerful ideas to turn them around.
Bad habit #1 > Skipping breakfast
The Fix - Leave your breakfast bowl, cereal or other items out on bench to see when you get up in the morning. This visual prompt works wonders.
Bad habit #2 > Snacking on wrong foods
The Fix - Take healthy snacks with you, such as fruit, nut mix, cut vegetables in zip lock bags. My mantra, "Never leave home without a banana."
Bad habit #3 > Not drinking enough water
The Fix - Take a 500 mL water bottle and set your Target to drink four bottles over the day. Place it on your desk on the other side of your keyboard.
Bad habit #4 > Cleaning your plate
The Fix - Serve meals on smaller plates. New Mantra, "Better to go in the waste than around my waist".
Bad habit #5 > Drinking too much alcohol
The Fix - Measure your wine and drinking glasses. A standard wine = 100 mL, not 300 mL. Every glass = 1 Extra. Just say its not worth the time to burn off so much. Also make more alcohol free days. A rule works here.
Bad habit #6 > Eating after dinner
The Fix - Close the kitchen! Restaurants close, so why not your kitchen. If psychologically closed doesn't work, get a barricade or a Closed sign. Sounds strange, but it works.
