Well not long now till xmas?! Yay... Although it does not feel like xmas for me cause I’m not with family and friends, seeing the beautiful decorations in shops and hearing the xmas music makes it feel so much more real.
I’m really enjoying my time here in Banff with Beck and Johnny. Most days we forget what day of the week it is and cause they sun sets and sun rises are so random, you usually can’t tell what time of day it is either.
Yesterday was an amazing day for me. I snowboarded in my first load of POW POW. Yep, it snowed all Wednesday night and even though I had a massive night in Calgary the night before at some friend’s place (another story) I rose early and caught the bus with Bryce (a friend from primary school) to Sunshine Mountain. Sooooo cool! The power was just unbelievable. So my fear of falling no longer exists. No matter how many tumbles, flips, dives and falls it just does not matter cause the powder is just so darn thick!!! You literally feel like you boarding in a white fluffy cloud!
So I’ve managed to find a place to live in Calgary! Johnny and Beck know this lovely couple who have offered me a room in their mackin house in downtown Calgary. It’s just gorgeous and it over looks the city. I’m so excited! They said I may find it challenging to find the right place to live downtown so it will be good to have a base till then and also until Klint moves over in late January early Feb. Yep, Klintos has decided to make the move a little earlier than expected and move over in the early new year. There is so much money to be made in construction so he’ll fit right in if he can handle the cold. But I’m sure he’ll enjoy the rockies just as much as I am.
I’ll write again before xmas… Till then, enjoy the festive season, eating yummy foods and drinking lots.
To the ST crew… be sure to send me some photos of the xmas party!
